Smart Cities: Way of the Future
Alexa, Siri, and Cortona these have all become household names. We have gone from smartphones to smart homes. From towers to dots. Technology is forever evolving. As someone walks down the street you can barely notice the world around you with your nose buried in a phone. We are now looking at Smart City Solutions. The governments of our world are seeing the technology vision as way to help us. While the techno vision keeps us up to date on everything in the world around us, it isolates us from the people next to us in own living room. This could be a way to get a little bit back from technology .
Smart cities could be the way of the future, leading to better world economies. A smarter infrastructure in our future. Smart cities will use tech to improve energy consumption from the local transport to the services it offers its community. Giving the people a louder voice they are able to gear things more to what people want and need. Decreasing waste on every level. A true step forward and possibly the only logical solution with our dependence on the little boxes we carry around everywhere with us.
With smart cities becoming more relevant to today’s society more people are getting on board. It is increasing area infrastructure and sustainability. The Smart City Solution could increase society productivity and decrease the footprint of people worldwide. With cities across the world already implementing the Solution. Others are seeing it work and its worth. The Smart City Solution could just be the key to the future. We all wanted flying cars like the Jetsons.
When is the last time you asked your phone to help you with something? Today? Yesterday? This week? The technology that we have available at our fingertips could be geared to lead us into a brighter and better future. One has to wonder though if everyone will be able to keep up with the rapid growth of tech. We have people who still don’t have smartphones. Those who refuse to jump on the techno bandwagon. Some don’t like the idea of the ever increasing tech world and its possible ability to give the government more control.
The overall goal of the Smart City Solution is to use the technology we already have to increase the economy and give people a better lifestyle. This will also use data analysis to improve the services that could be given to a certain area. In the grand scheme of things, this could be brilliant. People living in New York City have different needs than people living in a small Montana town. Our society may be looking at the fact that there is not a one size fits all solution. Different people in different areas have different needs. The Smart City Solution could be what we have been needing to help people from all over to improve living worldwide.
